Studio Activities

Training camps, bonding events, and studio gatherings — where the Legends community comes alive.

2026

Legends turned seven and opened its second home — a purpose-built branch in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam (officially opened June 2026) — alongside a full studio rebrand. One studio, one vision, now two homes.

2025

The Kota Kemuning branch welcomed its first students, the studio ushered in the Year of the Snake with its signature festive dance film, and the principal led 40 students into the WDSF Malaysia Open Dancesport Championship — the largest competition in the country.

2024

Our biggest year on stage. Legends' Night 2024 — the studio's first full-scale showcase — filled Mi Le Garden's Sky Hall on 14 December with performances, games and food. Earlier, students danced among the Sekinchan paddy fields for the first time at the Beautiful Life Festival.

2023

A year of community — a warm Christmas party for students and families, a guest performance at the Selangor English Storytelling Competition, and the yearly festive dance production that has become a Legends tradition.

2022

Live performance returned after two pandemic years — students back on stage for the first time since 2020, including an opening showcase for the Hakka Association gala. Assistant teacher Nicole Lim earned her Highly Commended grade and stepped up as a main instructor.

2020 – 2021

Through the pandemic, the studio kept dancing — online classes (even a Hip Hop series), collaborative Chinese New Year music videos with fellow academies, and festive Christmas dance films that held the community together from home.

2017

Where it started

In 2017 there was no studio — just a room above a salon on a Sekinchan street and a handful of kids who loved to dance. Back then we were the Sekinchan DanceSport Team.

That same year those young dancers were already on stage for the community and on the floor at their first competitions. What began as weekend classes in a small town grew, year after year, into Legends DanceSport Studio — and today, two studios carrying the same belief that first filled that little room.
